System Requirements

In order to install and run EasySystemRecovery, you'll need at least the following minimum requirements for your computer's hardware:

·Intel PentinumIII processor (or equivalent) or better  

·128 MB of RAM available  

·100 MB of free hard disk space (an initial 150 MB will be needed during installation only in order to accommodate the initial setup files)  

EasySystemRecovery will operate on the following versions of Microsoft Windows:

·Windows XP SP2

·Windows 2008  

·Windows Vista

EasySystemRecovery's main screen

EasySystemRecovery's main screen is divided into the following functional areas:

·Setting for Source, Destination, General information.  

·Backup Now: You can submit a named custom backup job here, the data generated by this kind of job won't be pruned.  

·Generate VHD File: The VHD file generated here can be copied to any other server to be restored.  

·Restore Files: You can mount a .esr or .vhd file here, or unmount the driver mounted, after mount, you can find out any files you want to restore on that recovery point.  

·Restore Volumes: You restore whole volume back to any time you want.  

·System Recovery: When some volumes cannot be restore on "Restore volumes" like system volume, you can use System recovery to restore on Windows PE enverionment.

1.Which account is needed for installing EasySystemRecovery?  
You must be an administrator or a member of administrators to install EasySystemRecovery.  
 
2.Mount file takes long time sometiimes, specially when mount file under remote folder, is it normal?  
Mount needs time to create disk, volume, and set label for volume, so it needs some time, before mount file under remote folder, a local copy must be created first, so it will take a long time.  
 
3.Restore whole volume reports lock volume failed, why?  
Application running could be using these volumes, sepecially for system volume, you cannot lock system volume on normal windows envrionment, You must boot system with Windows PE, and restore system volume on that envrionment.  
 
4.What is Windows AIK? Why is it needed for System recovery?  
Windows PE boot CD is needed for system recovery, so you need download Windows AIK to make a Windows PE boot CD.
